81, Kentville, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday November 14, 2009. Born in Middle Musquodoboit he was the son of the late Ira and Grace (Hanna) McFetridge. Jack is survived by his wife, Maureen; daughter Anne; son Andrew (Enid) Elliot; grandchildren Erin Elliot, Darcy (Roger) Gillis and Evan Elliot, all of Halifax; and sister, Mary (George) MacQuarrie of Middle Musquodoboit. He was predeceased by two brothers, Victor and Donald. Following a career in commercial sales, Jack was a twenty-two year employee of Domtar and finished his career with Boyd Distributing. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a loyal friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. There is no visitation, by the family's request. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday November 18, 2009 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral home 5 Leverett Ave.,Kentville, N.S. (902-678-2151). Rev. Lynn Uzans officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Kentville,Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
