Ogilvie (Cox), Debora Elizabeth - 51, Weltons Corner, Kings Co. It is with sadness that the family of Debora Ogilvie announces her passing on Friday, January 22, 2010, at home, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Greenwich, Kings Co., on October 12, 1958, she was a daughter of Bill and Julia (Graves) Cox, Berwick. Debora graduated from the West Kings District High School in 1977 and went on to graduate from Secretarial and Radio & T.V. Broadcasting at Kingstec in 1978-79. On August 24, 1979, Debora married her beloved husband, Theodore "Jack" Ogilvie. They spent the next 31 years in loving marriage raising three children, Julie Daley (32), Kingston; Timothy Ogilvie (28), Calgary, Alberta; Kelsey Ogilvie (13), Weltons Corner. Besides her parents she is also survived by sisters, Sharon Kelly, Coldbrook; Yvette Cox, Berwick; Kathy Roy, Greenwich; brother, Bill Cox II, Greenwood; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Daley; Alex Ogilvie; many nieces and nephews. Debora recently worked at Roo's Family Adventures and West Kings District High School. She enjoyed working with children and was an avid volunteer at the Kingston Schools and local children's recreational organizations. Debora was nominated for volunteer of the year by the Greenwood Dolphins in 2008. Debora was also a member of the Women's Dart League at the Royal Canadian Legion in Kingston and spent many years as a legion member. Visitation for Debora will take place 7-9 p.m., Monday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 26. Rev. Leon Langille officiating, with burial in the North Kingston Public Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
