94, of Harbourville , Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Toronto, Ont., he is survived by his beloved wife Jackie, Harbourville; stepchildren, Max (Allison) Richardson, Ajax, Ont.; Janice Richardson, Toronto, Ont.; Mark (Raydean) Richardson, Wolfville, Kings Co.; sister, June (Bill) Gooch, Toronto, Ont.; brother, Bill (Linda) McPhee, Penticton, B.C.; grandchildren, Kristi, Kelly, Max Jr., Jenny, Jeremy, Tara, Zachary, Lucas, great grand-children, Kayla and Paige; as well as many nieces and nephews. David was a four and a half year veteran of Second World War, serving overseas. He worked for the Toronto School Board prior to moving with Jackie to Nova Scotia, where he built a home and put down roots in Harbourville. David was a member of Mountain Mission United Pentecostal Church in Burlington. There will be no visitation. A service in celebration of David's life will be held on Monday, August 24, at 2:00 p.m., the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Rev. Glen Donnellan officiating, assisted by Pastor Fred Sisco and Pastor Robert McDougall. Donations in memory may be made to the Kings County S.P.C.A. or to a charity of your choice.
