86, Wolfville, passed away Sunday December 14, 2008 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Greenwich, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Griffin) Pudsey. Stella was a fun loving, quick witted woman who loved to play bingo and would be the first one up on the dance floor when the music started. There was never a family gathering without a game of 45's being played. She had played on a local seniors bowling league, was a past member of the New Minas 50 Plus and a retiree from Hostess Frito Lay She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. Stella is survived by her sons, Laurie (Sabina), Calgary, AB., David (Sylvia), Kamloops, B.C., Neil, White Horse, Yukon, Barry (Anne), White Rock; daughters, Shona (Wayne) Keefe, Edmonton, AB., Janet (Murray) Neil, Calgary, AB., Patricia (George) Rafuse, North Alton; sister, Vera Taylor, Hammond Plains; 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Stella was predeceased by her husband Alvin, son Earl, grandson Scott, brothers Henry, Lawrence, and Clarence, sisters Mildred, Alice and Hilda and 1 great grandchild Jorja. Visitation for Stella will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday December 17 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151) where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday December 18, Chaplain Jim Norton officiating. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of choice.
