85, Wolfville, passed away Tuesday October 14, 2008 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Watford, Hertfordshire, UK, she was the daughter of the late William and Winnifred (Coleman) Lott. After her schooling, Eileen studied a secretarial course and was employed in the insurance business. When she was old enough she joined the Royal Air Force (1942-46) and served at RAF Station Wittering, a night fighter station. Following discharge, she studied Chiropody and emigrated to Canada in 1957. Starting in Montreal and wanting to work in the North, she became an assistant to a project Manager of Foundation Co., of Canada, and worked in Northern Quebec at Gagnville helping develop the iron oar mine at Sept. Ile on the harbour construction project. Later she worked in Cape Breton on the harbour project at Point Tupper. Eileen then, opened her own business providing secretarial services to Stora Canada. She returned to England and then came back to Canada and worked in Montreal, Toronto, and at Acadia University, Wolfville. She retired to take up a Chiropody practice. Eileen enjoyed golf, volunteer work and was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Wolfville. She is survived by her cousin, Derek Coleman, Hertfordshire, England. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 568 Main St., Wolfville (902-542-2151). There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday October 17 in St. John's Anglican Church, Wolfville. Rev. Dr. Bruce Matthews officiating assisted by Canon Doug Hergett. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery. No flowers please, however donations in memory may be made to St. John's Anglican Church or to a charity of choice.
