Oshawa, Ont., formerly of Black Rock, Kings Co., passed away at his home unexpectedly and tragically on March 1, 2008, at the age of 53 years. Allan was born in Berwick on February 5, 1955, the beloved first child of Deanna Thomas, Black Rock and Gordon Pineo, Berwick. Besides his parents, Allan has left to mourn his passing, his devoted brothers and sisters, Paul (Tammy), Ponoka, Alta.; Harold, Black Rock; Ronald (Wendy) Georgetown, Ont.; Janet Bentley, Lethbridge, Alta.; Patricia Vieira, Truro; aunts, uncles and cousins. Allan is also survived by 10 nephews and nieces; grand nieces; his great uncle, Lewis Thomas, Windsor; his loving grandmother, "Nanny" Alberta Brydon, Black Rock; his lifelong friend, Ken Brydon, and will be sorely missed by many others. There will be no visitation. There will be a memorial service 4 p.m. Friday March 14, in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, NS B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900). Allan's former school mate, Lic. David Crocker will officiate. Donations in Allan's memory may be made to the Kings County S.P.C.A.
