91, of Wolfville, Kings Co. passed away in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, Friday June 11th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Everett and Carrie Pineo. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years Bea (Schofield) Pineo, son John (Beth) Pineo, Bridgetown, and daughter Judy (Sandy) Macmillan, Wolfville. He was very proud of and much loved by his four grand-daughters: Sarah Macmillan, Moreno Valley, California, Carrie Macmillan, Toronto, Anne and Ailsa Macmillan, Halifax, all who loved and appreciated his witty sense of humor. His working life was spent with the Wolfville Acadian and Kentville Advertiser newspapers as a compositor and pressman. He enjoyed the outdoor life, hunting and fishing trips, walks in the woods, gardening and family outings. He applied his handyman talents maintaining their cottage at Evangeline Beach. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at Wolfville Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 16 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. Barry Morrison officiating. Interment at Willowbank Cemetery, family only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Annapolis Valley Chapter of BIANS Inroads Program or a charity of choice.
