95 of New Ross, passed away Thursday November 20, 2008 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Blue Mountain, Kings Co.., she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Mary (Joudrey) (Rafuse) Legge. Gladys was a faithful member of the New Ross United Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. She is survived by her son, Orley (Lorraine), New Ross; sister, Alice (Harry) Lyttle, B.C.; sister in law, Doris Legge; grandchildren, Gerald, New Ross, Sandra, B.C., Heather, Liverpool; great grandchildren, Dexter, Tonia, Mason, Caleb and Corbin; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Charles "Delmar" Rafuse; her son, Chesley; brothers, Eber, Clifford and half brother, Cornelius; sisters, Hazel Coldwell and Beatrice White; granddaughters, Brenda Lee and Annette. Visitation for the late Mrs. Rafuse will be held from 7-9 p.m. Saturday November 22 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 38 Forties Rd., New Ross (902-689-2961). A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday November 23 in the New Ross United Baptist Church. Pastor David Hine officiating. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory may be made to the New Ross United Baptist Church Cemetery Care Fund or to a charity of choice.
