87, Halifax formerly of Kentville, passed away Saturday July 18, 2009 in Glades Lodge Nursing Home, Halifax. Born in Port Williams, he was a son of the late Arthur and Ethel (Spinney) Schofield. Lloyd enjoyed camping and gardening. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Faith. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Lloyd is survived by sons, Lloyd (Edith) Schofield, Brookside; Darren (Stephanie) Schofield, Halifax; daughter, Elaine (Vance) Vaughan, Grand Lake; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Reginald Schofield, Kentville; sister, Joyce Schofield, Kentville. Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his loving wife, Faith; brothers, Lorne, Ivan, Basil and Clyde Schofield; sister, Vivian Peterson. In place of visitation, the family will receive friends at St. John's Anglican Church , Parish of Cornwallis, in Port Williams on Wednesday July 22 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. followed by a reception in the Parish hall. Reverend David Garrett officiating. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, (902-678-2151).
