85, Kentville, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Aubrey was born in Wolfville. He worked for Acadia University for over 32 years. Aubrey enjoyed playing cards, washers, horseshoes and never missed his Friday night poker games. He also enjoyed playing hockey. Aubrey loved having his family and friends around him. He will be fondly remembered as someone who would do anything for anyone. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Aubrey is survived by his loving wife, Helen, Kentville; sons, Gary, Toronto, Ont.; Dave (Bonnie), Centerville; Steve, New Minas; Les, Steve (Shannon), Prince Edward Island; Tom (Dorothy), Port Williams; Alex (Kathy) Kentville; Tim, Ottawa; Doug, Mikel, Kentville; daughters, Patty (Michael) Kelly, New Minas; Audrey Walsh, Berwick; Tammy Spencer, Kentville; Stella (Burton) Spencer, Baxter's Harbour; Brenda Kelly, Kentville; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m. Monday, November 9 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, N.S., B4N 2K5, (902-678-2151), where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 10. Interment will take place in Willow Bank Cemetery, Wolfville. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
