Obituary of Gerry Tupper

51, of Scott's Bay, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of Keith and Rosanna Tupper, Scott's Bay. Gerry was devoted to his wife and family. Gerry was proud of his only grandson who was just born this past August. He was a hard worker. Gerry was employed with Oxford Foods in Hillaton. Previously he was employed with Maple Leaf Foods until their closure. Gerry spent many years lobster fishing with his father. Gerry spent his leisure time fishing, camping and hunting; he was an avid outdoorsman. He loved music and played the guitar. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Phillips) Tupper; daughters, Melanie Tupper, New Minas; Ashley Tupper, Kentville; special grandson, Caelin Gerry Proteus Tupper; parents, Keith and Rosanna Tupper, Scott's Bay; sisters, Karen Tupper (Charles Wood), Scott's Bay Road.; Joyce (Darrin Chapman), Newport Station; brother, Dean Tupper, Upper Canard; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation for Gerry will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151) where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, Rev. Peter Lohnes officiating. Interment will take place in Jaw Bone Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Caelin Tupper's Trust Fund.
