87, New Vision Special Care Homes Ltd. (Home for Seniors), South Berwick, formerly of New Minas, Kings Co., passed away Thursday January 8, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Melvern Square, Annapolis Co., he was a son of the late Burpee and Hattie Ward. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served overseas. Ted will be greatly missed and always loved by the residents & staff of New Vision Home. Surviving are his daughter, Pat Sweet, Gooseberry Cove, Newfoundland. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary V. Ward; brother, Prescott Ward. Visitation will take place from 12 noon until 2 p.m. followed by a Royal Canadian Legion Service and Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Monday January 12, all in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Chaplain Jim Norton officiating, with burial in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill.
