62, Cambridge Station, passed away Monday October 6, 2008 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, He was a son of Regina (Copage) and the late Bernard Toney. Allan was an avid hunter, he especially enjoyed hunting in the highlands. He also enjoyed fishing, bingo, gambling and sports. He was one of the first members/creators of the Mikmaq Tracking Team. He was a member of the Valley Search and Rescue for many years. If anyone needed any help or assistance, he was there. He was a community provider with his garden. He loved his grandchildren and his dog, "Bob". He will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. A tree will be planted in Allan's memory at the Three Wishes Daycare, Cambridge. Allan is survived by his wife, Marilyn, Cambridge; son, Todd, Cambridge; daughters, Jeannie (Jeff) Newcombe, Cambridge; Terri-Lyn (Kenneth) MacEachern, Cambridge; mother, Regina Toney, Cambridge; brothers, Gerald, Cambridge; Brian, Cambridge; Wayne, Calgary; Mark, Cambridge; sisters, Eileen (Garnet) Lloyd, Waterville; Sandra Usher, Cambridge; 15 grandchildren, Nickolas; Brittany; Channelle, Shanika, Chelsey; Victor; David; Brianna; Bronson; Sydell; Wyatt; Keaton; Hossanna; Debra May; Unique; god child, Jerry Toney; great god child, Julian Toney; several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Allan was predeceased by his brothers, David; Maurice (in infancy); sisters, Lorane Canning; Debra; Alita; Adelaine (in infancy); brother-in-law, Robert Usher. Visitation for Mr. Toney will be held all day Tuesday October 7 in Annapolis Valley First Nations Community Center, Cambridge Station, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday October 8. Rev. Glen Donnellan officiating. Funeral Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 192 Commercial St., Berwick (902-538-9900).
