84, Millville, Kings Co. It is with much sadness that the family announces the passing of Howard John Watton on Monday July 14, 2008, in the Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born on Aylesford Mountain, on May 4, 1924, he was a son of the late Jesse and Jean (Salsman) Watton. Howard was an honest and hard-working man who was always there for his family & friends. He worked at many jobs during his life, retiring as a Kings Co. School Bus driver in 1989. He loved to go ATV'ing with his friends and was an avid 45's player. Howard is survived by his wife of 64 years, Isabelle (Mitton); children, Lloyd (Betty), Mary (Jud) Foster & Ronald, all of Aylesford; Stanley (Reta) Greenwood Square; Kenneth (Suzanne), Welsford; Marlene (Kenny) Lohnes, Lawrencetown; David (Valerie), Nictaux; grandchildren, Anthony, Shelley, Shannon, Jonathan, Steven, Mitchell, Shawn & Dawn; great-grandchildren, Ryan & Austin; sister, Ann Slaunenwhite, Aylesford; step-sister, Shirley Banks, Nictaux. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by step-father, Ellis Rhoddy; brothers, Harry, Paul, Fred, Issac & Robert Lloyd; sister, Nette; grandsons, Richard & Trevor. Visitation for Howard will take place 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Friday July 18. Rev. Donald Rafuse officiating, with burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Aylesford East Community Hall or to any charity.
