75, Berwick, Kings Co. passed away suddenly on Friday November 30, 2007, at his home, surrounded by many of his loving family. Born in Viewmount, Kings Co. he was a son of the late Frederick C. and Genevieve L. (Howell) Sweeney. Ronald was a carpenter by trade and was an avid dart player, hunter & fisherman. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch # 69, Berwick. He had pulled on a tug of war team attending the Provincial Championship in 1967. Surviving are his wife, Gloria G. (Wambolt) Sweeney; sons, Curtis Sweeney, Morristown; Bartley (Valerie Wood) Sweeney, Edmonton, Alberta; Shane (Margaret) Sweeney, South Alton; Aaron (Jeannie) Sweeney, Dempsey Corner; daughters, Rhonda (Alden) Cox, Berwick; Karan (LeRoy Neilson) Moody, Moncton, N.B.; Colleen (Paul) Martin, Berwick; Kimberlea (Darrell Pelton) Sweeney, Berwick; Catherine (Keith) Vidito, Berwick; Jean Sweeney, Toronto, Ont.; sisters, Marion (Myles) Balsor, Port George; Hilda (Morris, deceased) Ruggles, Perry Sound, Ont.; Helen (Fred, deceased) Wagstaff, Aylesford; Beatrice (Alan, deceased) Whittier, Somerset; sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Robert, deceased) Sweeney, Berwick; Linda (Kenneth, deceased), Viewmount; brothers-in-law, Colin (Marie Pineo) MacDonald, Lakeville ; Lorimer (Shirley, deceased) Clem, Viewmount; 18 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren numerous nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Paul Sweeney; sisters, Eleanor Coleman, Freda MacDonald, Shirley Clem; brothers, Robert & Kenneth Sweeney. There will be visitation for Ronald 7-9 p.m. tonight (Monday) in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the Funeral Service will take place 2 p.m. Tuesday December 4. Rev. Marilyn Rose officiating.
