77, Harmony, Kings Co., formerly of Waterville, Kings Co., passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Waterville, she was a daughter of the late Lois Lloyd. Shirley's first job was at the Canning Factory in Waterville. She had worked on the Dietary Staff at the Kings Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville and as a cook at the Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick. Shirley had been a volunteer with Valley Search and Rescue. Surviving are her common-law husband, Doug Benson, Harmony; sons, Michael (Rose), Waterville; Edward (Sandra), Aylesford; William, Pickering, Ont.; Timothy (Angela Sherman), Lake George; Mark (Karoline), Hasting, Ont.; Philip, Aylesford; daughters, Darlene Acker, Cambridge Sta.; Elizabeth Usher, Kentville; 31 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Frederick Reeves, Oshawa, Ont.; sister, Constance (Ronald) Bohaker, Karsdale, Annapolis Co.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husbands, Lester Eisnor; Walter Wright; grandson, Bruce Eisnor. Visitation for Shirley will take place on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 2. Pastor Tim Bigelow officiating, assisted by Rev. Harold Beaumont, with burial in the Waterville Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to her family or to any charity.
