Obituary of Mary Georgia Lane
Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lane, Mary Georgia (Walsh) â 62, of Hantsport. It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mary. She was loyal wife, loving sister and a true friend. To all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the youngest daughter of the late Donald and Minnie (Dalrymple) Walsh. Mary was well known in the community as she spent 42 years owning and operating her own business as a hair dresser. Her greatest joy was her dogs âCricketâ, and âBuddyâ; and her cat âCaseyâ. She was a true animal lover and many animals benefited from her monthly donations to the SPCA. Mary is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joseph; brother Banford (Annie) Walsh, Hantsport; and nephews Shawn; and Todd Walsh. In keeping with Maryâs wishes there will be no visitation. A small graveside service for family and friends will be held in the Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport in the Spring. Donations in Maryâs memory may be made to the SPCA. Joseph wants to take this time to show his appreciation to Peter Lane and Bev McNeil for all of their extra time and efforts. Maryâs family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Valley Regional Hospital, Emergency Health Services, and the Hantsport First Responders Units for their special care and thoughtfulness during this time. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Homes, Wolfville. Donations and condolences can be sent to our mailing address at PO Box 355, Kentville, Nova Scotia B4N 3X1 or by visiting: www.serenitylindsayfuneralhome.ca
