Spidle, Roger Wallace - 82 of Digby, passed away February 8 in Valley Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Peabody, Ma., he was the son of the late J. Neil and Alma (Hatt) Spidle. He is survived by his wife Edna (Germain); daughter Joanne Miller (Fred), Greenland; sons Stephen, Bear River East; Rodney (Valerie), Greenwood; Kelly (Sherry Pictou), Bear River; grandchildren Jacob (Damara), Toronto, ON.; Kelly Jean Miller, Digby; Issac Miller, Yellowknife, NWT; Destiny Spidle-Pictou, Bear River; brothers Earle (Barbara), Wilmot; Rodney, Summerside, PEI., and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister Edna Nash. Roger lived a full, rich life, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked for 35 years at MT&T, enjoyed being a Telephone Pioneer after retirement. Roger had many hobbies including oil painting, golfing, gardening, woodworking and he played several musical instruments. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
