Lutz, Vincent Alden – 83, Nicholsville, Kings Co., passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lake Paul, he was a son of the late E. Doran and Dora (Joudrey) Lutz. Vincent worked for many years with his father and brothers on the family farm and sawmill; which he later ran. Vincent worked for many different apple farms in the Annapolis Valley and James Felch Oil Burner Service. Vincent and his own family lived in Massachusetts where he worked at the J.O. Young Roofing Company, Springfield; H. Cogswell & Son Roofing, Southwick; and Carl Crane Logging Granby, Connecticut. Before retiring he owned and operated his own logging company in Nova Scotia. Vincent is survived by his sons Stephen (Irma) , Waterville; Randall, Nicholsville; daughters Bonnie, Milton, ON; Judi Podgurski, Courtice, ON; sisters Joyce Gates, Millville; Annie Harding, Factorydale; Beatrice Matthews, Berwick; Cheryl (Orland) Rainforth, Morristown; and Mona (Reid) Gould, Nicholsville. Besides his parents Vincent is predeceased by his brothers Earl; Reginald; Arthur; and sister Violet. In keeping with his wishes a cremation has taken place and a burial will be held at a later date. Donations in Vincent's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home and Serenity Crematorium, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick.
