KNAPP (Patrick), Marjorie Helen -- 83, Port Williams, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family February 8, 2010. Born in Benton, N.B., Marjorie was a daughter of the late Thomas and Juanita (Mills) Patrick. Marjorie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a great love of music, having learned to play piano at a young age. Marjorie's ever present smile and caring, loving attitude will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Marjorie was a graduate of Mount Allison University. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Knapp (Janice), Port Williams; beloved grandchildren, Lindsay and Andrew; brother, Leland, Riverview, N.B.; sister, Hilda (Ken) Avery, Aurora, Ont.; sister-in-law, Yvonne (Carl) Patrick, Aurora, Ont.; sister, Gretchen (Bob) Welteroth, South Williamsport, Pa.; brother-in-law, Robert (Mary) Knapp, Penticton, B.C.; sister-in-law, Grace (Gordon) Knapp; step-daughters, Judy Arnold, Podensac, France; and Joyce Rever, Port McNicoll, Ont.; several nieces and nephews and her best friend, Virginia Isherwood, Riverview, N.B. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Gerald Earl Knapp; sisters, Annie and Gloria; brothers, Frank and Carl and dear nephew, Thomas Patrick. There will be no visitation, by the family's request. A funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 12, in Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 568 Main St., Wolfville, Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating. Interment to be held at a later date in Benton Community Cemetery, Benton, N.B. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Home, P.O. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
