TRITES, Glendon Elery - 91, Millville Kings Co., passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Millville on December 12, 1918, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Jessie (Gates) Trites. Glendon was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his beloved wife of 64 years, Ruby (Creemer) Trites; daughter, Janet (Roy) Nichols, Aylesford; sons, Russell (Joy Hoag), Millville; Donald (Cathy), Cornwall, PEI; James, Aylesford; Cecil (Darlene), Truro; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grand children; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Charles; sister, Beulah Balcom; half brother, Alvin Uhlman; half sisters, Lucy Hodges and Vera Mann. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m., Sunday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 19, at the Kingston United Baptist Church, 695 Hwy # 1, Kingston. Rev. Leon Langille officiating with Interment in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glendon?¢s memory may be made to a charity of one?¢s choice.
