URQUHART, Francis Whitman, 82, Berwick, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Elwood and Mary (Murphy) Urquhart. Francis is survived by daughters Patricia (Peter) Blake, Berwick; Donna (Randy) Wile, Melanson; Mary (Paul) Urquhart, Coldbrook; Sheri (Chuck) Kaizer, Ottawa, Ont.; Shelley (Rashid) Abu-Dumedah, Saudi Arabia; sons Kevin, Brampton, Ont.; William - Billyì³ , Halifax; Richard (Trisha), New Minas; sister Marie MacDonald, Stellerton; 17 grandchildren, Shannon, Timothy, Jonathan, Christopher, Jamie, Amanda, Tyler, Billy Jr., Erin, Kelsey, Vienna, Patrick, Riley, Lexie, Brianna, Rawanna, Layanna; 3 great grandchildren Lilly, Layne and Jayden, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Francis was predeceased by wife Lillian Mae (Smith), brothers Alexander, Jim, Elwood, Thomas; sister Isabelle MacDonald. Cremation has taken place and no visitation by request. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Kinsman Club of Halifax, CNIB or to a charity of choice.
