VEINOTTE, Mary Louise - 82, of Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, in the Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Bethel, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Grace (Crouse) Oickle. Mary moved to Nova Scotia when she was three years old. When Mary was younger she enjoyed picking blueberries and strawberries, picking beans and apples. Mary had worked at M.W. Graves Ltd., Berwick and Scotian Gold, Coldbrook for a short time. She mostly enjoyed baby sitting in her home and loved children. Mary was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 98, Kingston. She enjoyed going on trips, travelling and seeing different places. Mary loved animals and playing the piano. She enjoyed getting together with family and playing bingo and going to card parties. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are daughters, Dianne (Eric) McBride, Aylesford; Joanne (Robert Misner) Saulnier, Auburn; grandchildren, Glen and Sherry Saulnier; Vicki and Kimberly McBride; seven great grandchildren; and many friends whom she held close to her heart. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Murray Veinotte; brothers, Paul and Bobby Oickle; sisters, Pauline McKay; Leola McKean. Visitation for Mary will take place 7-9 p.m., Saturday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place 2 p.m., Sunday, April 25. Rev. Brian Wheaton officiating, with burial in the Morristown Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
