TAIT, Mary Christina (Grant), 57, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home on Friday May 14, 2010, with loving family by her side. Born a MacPherson in Sydney, Cape Breton, on February 14, 1953, she was a true valentine. Mary was adopted by the late Joseph and Marie (Chisholm) Brown of Antigonish. She worked in Nortonville, USA for a short time. Mary was an industrial seamstress with Creative Canvas, Dartmouth. She was an Associate Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Centennial Branch 160, RAOB, and the Order of Ladies Glades. Mary was a very able dart player at both clubs. She is survived by her husband Fred, her sister Vivian Ann Greencorn (Messom), Alberta; and her brother Joseph MacGillivary, Antigonish. Mary was predeceased by her first husband George Grant. The Funeral Service, followed by a reception, will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Centennial Branch 160, 704 Main Street, Dartmouth, with Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. Visitation will take place at the same location from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, prior to the service. A private interment will follow the reception at the East Jeddore Cemetery. Family flowers only by request. Donations in Mary?¢s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
