HUNT, James Joseph Leo, 82, Coldstream, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2010 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Somerville, MA., he was a son of the late Bernard and Caroline (Bennett) Hunt. He was an avid Boston Bruin fan, and especially loved to watch # 4 Bobby Orr. Jim was a great friend to many and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a self taught tradesman and was a - Jack of all Trades쳌. Jim had beautiful blue eyes, which people always commented on. He is survived by his companion Joyce Staples, eight children, Jim (Jackie) Hunt, Gerry (Donna) Hunt, Michael Hunt, Heather Olsen, all of Boston, MA.; Kevin (Cathie) Hunt, Spryfield; Bobby (Donna Marchand) Hunt, Halifax; Lydia Whalley, Lower Sackville; Cathy Hunt, Lower Sackville; 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, siblings Fred, Richard, Peter, Walter, Elizabeth, Edith and Katherine. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Kenneth and David. Cremation has taken place and it was Jim?¢s wishes that there would be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in Jim?¢s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of ones choice. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, palliative care specialist, consult nurse, and all of the nurses on the 4th floor of the Colchester Regional Hospital. A special thank you to Michele Rigby for her loving care with the family, and to Nurse Kelly who took great care of him in his final hours.
