Dear Joan and family, my heart melted when I heard about Uncle Lorm. I wished I could have gotten to see him this summer and hear him ask if I was wearing my eyelons, or if he could push me up a tree by my feets..I will truly miss him and all the teasing he was famous for. He had a special place in my heart, as do all of you. I love you all and can not wait to see you next week. Thinking of you!

Uncle Lorm is what I called him as Lorm was my motherchr(39)s brother. Uncle Lorm was always looking for someone to tease or have a laugh with. I would have to say that my story would be titled "The Bore Hole". When I was maybe 7 or 8 years of age my brother Gary and Uncle Lorm went deer hunting on the "back 40" of the property. While they hunted, I played at my Grammies house and waited for them to come home. Upon their return they told me they had shot a bear. With such a story my eyes were like saucers and I said to Uncle Lorm "did you shoot it in the bore hole"?(I have no idea where I came up with such a comment). To say the least my brother Gary and Uncle Lorm laughed until the tears ran down their cheeks. My uncle Lorm being the way he was, asked me EVERY TIME I SAW HIM, "shot any bears in the bore hole lately?" The last time I saw Uncle Lorm in the summer of 2009,the first words out of his mouth was the very same question he always ask and had asked for nearly 52 years "shot any bears in the bore hole? I loved him very much as a uncle and will miss him and his harmless teasing with that mischievous smile and glint in his eye. I offer on behalf of my wife Diana, son Neil and myself our deepest sympathy to all my cousins and my ever so loving Aunt Joan. I will never forget him and will only have happy thoughts of my years of being around him. Love Tony
