TAYLOR, Frank Norman - 80, Kentville, Kings Co., passed away at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on July 18, 2010.Born in Somerville, Mass., USA on November 6, 1929, he was the son of the late Norman and Minerva (Specht) Taylor. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Grace (Higgins) Taylor, and children, Paul (Mary), Tenn., Diane (Wayne)Green, BC, and Michael (Barb), Arizona; also his beloved grandchildren Cindy, Brett, Lauren, and Michael Jr, as well as special niece, Tammy and other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Greta and brother Gordon, and a brother in infancy. As a young man, Frank joined the Merchant Marines. He returned to Halifax where he was employed with furniture moving and storage. In later years he moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he started his own appliance Business. There will no visitation by family request. Interment has taken place at the Lower Horton Cemetery, Lower Horton. A Memorial Service will take place at the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Homes and Crematorium Chapel, Kentville on Friday July 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Eva Van Buskirk officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville B4N 2K5 (902) 678-2151. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valley Regional Palliative Care Foundation or Charity of Choice.
