Obituary of Gilbert Elroy Upshaw

UPSHAW, Gilbert Elroy, 77, Windsor, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Born on April 16, 1933, in Windsor Plains, Hants Co., he was the son of the late Robert and Lena (Hartley) Upshaw. Gilbert worked for many years for Irving Oil Ltd., and J.W. Lindsay. He is survived by his wife Erma (Lake), daughters Juanita (Harley) Gray, Mississauga; Marcel (Andre) States, Three Mile Plains; step-daughter Tracey (Barry) Schurman, Windsor, sons: Michael (Gail), Scarborough, Ted (Karen), Ottawa, Jeffrey, Three Mile Plains, Tony (Rhonda) and Craig (Heather), both of Hammonds Plains, step-son, James, Ontario, 24 grand children and 12 great grand children, brother Levi, as well as, many nieces and nephews.. Gilbert will also be sadly missed by his special friends Ross and Alice Wheeler. Besides his parents, Gilbert was predeceased by his daughter Holly Anne, daughter-in-law Beatrice and brothers; Robert, Vincent, Walter, Clint, Chester and Andrew in infancy. As per Gilbert?¢s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
