WARD, Thelma Leona - 95, Centreville, Kings County passed away on Thursday August 12, 2010 in Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Baxters Harbour she was a daughter of the late Harry and Eva (Schofield) Brewster. Thelma was a long-time member of the Kingsway Assembly, Kentville. She loved to visit family, brothers, sisters and her children as well as friends. Thelma used to travel together with her husband in their travel trailer and attended church camp in Debert every year. In her earlier years, Thelma was a deer hunter and a - crack shot쳌. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Thelma is survived by her daughter Bernice Theriault, Digby Neck; sons, Clifford (Rosavilla), Lakewood Road, Garnet (Darleen), Centreville, Michael (Yvonne), Gaspereau Mountain; brothers, Osborne, New Minas, Franklyn (Shirley), Centreville; sisters, Vera Winters, Steam Mill, Phyllis (Howard) Hawley, Dartmouth; Bertha Atwell, Hantsport; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Thelma was predeceased by her husband Bernard; brother, Elmer; sisters, Neta, Yvonne and Emily. Visitation will be in the H. C. Lindsay Funeral Home, Kentville from 2-4 pm Saturday August 14 and 2-4 pm Sunday August 15. A funeral service will be 2 pm Monday August 16, 2010 from the Kingsway Assembly, Kentville with Pastor Terry Penney and Rev. Robert Cross officiating. Interment will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thelma may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Kingsway Assembly. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H. C. Lindsay Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, B4N 2K5.
