Obituary of Robert William Jess

JESS, Robert William Lawrence - 82, Kentville passed away August 31, 2010 in Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Forest Home, Kings County he was the son of the late Wentworth and Cassie (Lockhart) Jess. He attended Blue Mountain School and Kings County Academy. Robert was a lifelong resident of Forest Home. He farmed with cattle, sheep, horses, bees and poultry. Following his farming experience he worked with electronics and also as a surveyor?¢s helper with the Transportation Department. He enjoyed gardening, beekeeping and woods work in his retirement. For a person who rarely left his community; there was little that he did not keep up to date on. Robert was always ready to lend a helping hand. He is survived by nephews, Charles and Stephen; nieces, Beth (Pat) Amero and Linda Schofield; also a number of half nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral or visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. C.
