Obituary of Phyllis Honoria Eugenia Allen

Allen, (Smith) Phyllis Honoria Eugenia?? 92, Digby passed away on Friday, September 10, 2010, in Digby General Hospital, Digby N.S. Born August 20, 1918, in Devon England, she was the daughter of the late George Thomas Smith of Portsmouth, England and Annie Louise (Meluish) of Devon England. Phyllis was married to Joseph Melbourne Allen of Annapolis Royal, now deceased. She is survived by her two children, Edward Allen of Digby and David Allen of Granville, 2 grandchildren, Donna Clarke, Sackville and Douglas Allen of Carberry MB., 3 great grand children, Owen and Loren Clarke and Tristen Allen. Phyllis (or Phyl) as she was known by most of her friends, was always there to give a hand. She belonged to many organizations, her favorite being the Royal Canadian Legion for which she worked many years and was a lifetime member. She was well liked and much loved by all and will be sadly missed. Donations in her memory can be made to the Clementsport Legion, IWK Hospital or a charity of your choice.
