STRONG, Ronald Jack - 57 of Medford, Kings County passed away September 13, 2010 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on November 5, 1952 in Berwick, he was the son of the late Angus and Katheryn (Walsh) Strong. Ronald was a hard worker and worked in farming, on fishing boats, and was a carpenter; but out of all his careers his love was with farming. He had worked for different farmers in the Annapolis Valley area for years. He worked for Josh Oulton, Canard, Andrew Bishop, Greenwich, the late Floyd Woolaver, Medford, Jimmy Ansems, Canning, and Bernard Parker, Medford. Ronald is survived by his wife of 31 years, Erlene (Benjamin); his daughter Rachel, Medford; son Jason, Kentville; two grandchildren, Kelsey Crocker, Medford; Owen Reynolds, Kentville; sisters Donna Balsor, Berwick; Dorothy (David) Siscoe, Yarmouth; Nancy Blanchard, Yarmouth; Carol Strong, Kentville; brothers, Richard (Wendy) Kentville; Keith, Wolfville; Brian (Linda), Canning. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Carl and sister Tina. There will be no visitation by family request. A Funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday September 16, 2010 at the H. C. Lindsay Funeral Home Chapel, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville with Lay Chaplain Jim Norton officiating. Donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H. C.
