Dear Janelle and family --
We were shocked to read of Donaldchr(39)s passing in the Journal. Harry and I remember the lovely visit we had with you as well as the dinner we shared at Terrichr(39)s little restaurant in Guysborough back in 2000. He always had a smile for everyone. Our sincere condolences.

Dear Janelle (and family):
It is hard to believe it is almost 50 years since I would visit you and your family in Halifax. I remember Donnie as a very kind young man who drove us around in his "Beetle", showed me around where he worked at the CBC and bought me delicious chicken burgers at Sunnyside Drive-In. This was prior to your marriage so it is indeed a very long time ago. Obviously, Donniechr(39)s kindness and compassion continued to blossom and grow as he got older. His extensive volunteer work with the Red Cross leaves a great legacy of service for his children, grandchildren and friends to remember.
David and I know this is a very difficult time for all of you. May you know the comfort of Godchr(39)s presence as you mourn the loss of your husband, father and grandfather.

Dear Janelle and family:
This is to express our sincere condolences at this sad time of Donaldchr(39)s passing. Guysborough people will remember him fondly. When I was out walking, we would sometimes cross paths and have a chat, (about growing grapes, or many other things of which he was very knowledgeable).
Wishing you peace at this time.
Sincerely, Hope Wright and family

How very quickly the years pass us by. Don and I started grade primary together at St. Patrickchr(39)s Boychr(39)s School on Brunswick St. I spent a lot of time at his parentchr(39)s home and his grandparents who lived next door to him on Gerrish St. We were the best of friends and as time goes on we finished school, started our careers, got married and raised our children and over time lost touch with one another. I am sorry for your loss and will always have great memories of Don and the pranks we shared as all little boy do.
I have always valued our friendship.

Dear Janelle and family:
Sharon and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Donniechr(39)s passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this difficult time.
Thinking back, I can remember you and Donnie visiting us in Goldboro when you were first engaged. How fast the years pass. The last time we saw Donnie was at Uncle Morleychr(39)s graveside service last year. We never dreamed that it would be the last time that we would see him.
May God bless you and your family.
Gary and Sharon Sponagle.

Dear Betty and Janelle,
Although it has been a long time since I have seen you all - I still think of our time and our lives shared on Sommerset and the cul-de-sac with great fondness...and part of that memory will always include Don - putting about the house and back yard and always a friend to the neighborhood kids;)
I send a big hug from Toronto - I know this may not be an easy time...but please know old friends are thinking of you and wishing you some peace.
All my love,
Megan (mclandes@gmail.com)
