VEINOTTE, Cecil Edgar - 87, Factorydale, Kings Co., passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Born in East Dalhousie, on March 2, 1923, he was a son of the late Stewart and Hattie (Fiendel) Veinotte. Cecil was a veteran of the Second World War and was previously employed at Howard?¢s Service Centre, Wayne Morse?¢s Mill, for Winston Lohnes and Lake Paul Pulp and Logging. Cecil is survived by children, Rex (Darlene), Black Rock; Harvey (Darlene), North River Road; Wanda (Skip) Bowlby, Kingston; Ann (David) Hiltz, Aylesford; Don (Margaret), Somerset; Joy (Emerson) Veinotte, Factorydale. Cecil?¢s 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren who held a special place in his heart; sister, Audrey (Lemuel Lohnes), New Germany; several nieces and nephews. Cecil will be missed by his four legged companion, Lady. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Nina M. (Joudrey) Veinotte; children, Lawrence, Ruby Ann and Milton; granddaughters, Dorothy and Kimberley Veinotte; brothers, Harold, Owen, Lloyd and Lyman; sisters, Ernestine Veinotte; Violet Meldrum; Gladys Weagle; Alma Bezanson; Daphne Tupper; Elsie Daniels; half-brothers, Eldie Acker and Murray Veinotte; half-sisters, Myrna Veinotte and Wilma Robar. Visitation for Cecil will take place 7-9 p.m., Thursday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 1, Pastor Tim Bigelow officiating, with Interment in the East Dalhousie United Baptist Cemetery, at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Palliative Care Program of Annapolis Valley Health.
