LECKIE (Lewis), Elizabeth Jean - Jane쳌 - 84, passed away on October 6, 2010 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in St. Catherines, ON, of Welsh Parents; Jane was the daughter of the late Arthur and Carolyn (Humphries) Lewis. She was an RN Graduate of Vancouver Columbia?¢s School of Nursing and continued with this career for many years. Becoming a full-time housewife her family moved from Toronto to the Valley in 1974. Jane and husband David were avid travelers and over the years have visited all six continents. Besides David; Jane was predeceased by her siblings; brothers; Jack, Jim, Frank; and sisters; Margaret, Pauline, Suzzanne, and Helen. Jane is survived by her sons; Andrew Leckie, Windsor, NS; D. Stewart and wife Deidre Leckie; and her daughter; Pamela and husband Robert Pollock, Vancouver, BC; and six grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday October 14 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. John?¢s Anglican Church, Wolfville with The Reverend Sandra Fyfe and The Reverend Bruce Matthews officiating. Burial will be held in the St. John?¢s Anglican Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jane may be made to the Diabetes Association.
