FOSTER, Elda May (Sandeson), 89, Greenwich, passed away at home on Friday, October 8, 2010. Born in Greens Creek, Colchester Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Ida (Dartt) Sandeson. Elda worked in Ontario for a short time returning home to help on the family farm. In 1949 she moved to the Annapolis Valley and continued the farm life with her late husband Henry. Elda is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son Philip, Canard; daughter Marion (John MacKeen), Greenwich; 3 grandchildren Ryan, Fort McMurray, Ian, Grand Prairie; and Dayna, Coldbrook; and a special great grandson Evan, Coldbrook. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Kaye and Pauline as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Henry, and brothers Glendon, George, Earl, Alex, and Fred. Cremation has taken place and no visitation by request. Family flowers only. Donations in Elda`s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, or the Carry Me Fund of Valley Regional Hospital, or the Victorian Order of Nurses. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010, at 2:00 pm from Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, NS, with Rev. Dr. Peter Lohnes officiating. An interment will follow the service at Jawbone Corner Cemetery, Canard.
