OLMSTEAD, Frances Jean - 90, Lake Ramsay, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010, in Shoreham Village, Chester. Born in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Naomi (Hiltz) Veinott. Frances was a member of Christ Anglican Church, New Ross, where she had been a member of the Church Guild. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club. Surviving are sons, Leon, Berwick; E. Wallace (Betty), Debert; daughter, Valerie (Aldon) Lenihan, New Ross; daughter-in-law, Joyce Olmstead, Halifax; son-in-law, Francis Hiltz, New Ross; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Cedric (Carolyn) Veinott, New Ross; sisters, Marjorie (Frank) Skerry; Winnie (Freeman) Olmstead, all of New Ross; Loretta (Elmer) Neville, Kentville; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Maurice E. Olmstead; sons, Eugene and Terry; daughter, Fern Hiltz; brothers, Lealand, Ernest and Malcolm; sisters, Doris Hughes; Reta Reeves. Visitation for Frances will take place from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 38 Forties Rd., New Ross, N.S., B0J 2M0, (902-689-2961). Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, in Christ Anglican Church, New Ross. Rev. Frances Boutilier officiating, with burial in Christ Anglican Cemetery, New Ross. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to Christ Anglican Church, New Ross.
