Henshaw, Richard Lormer, 80, Lockhartville, passed away on October 13, 2010 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lockhartville, he was the son of the late Percy and Mary (Brewster) Henshaw. Richard worked for Minas Basin Pulp and Power for 44 years retiring as Ground Wood foreman. He was a great lover of games especially hockey, a true Montreal Canadian fan. Richard is survived by children: Evelyn - Irene쳌 (Eugene) Caldwell, David (Jeannie), Donna (Gary) Weagle, Ronald (Stephanie), Margaret (Rodney) Parr, Darrell, Sherrie (Mark) Smith, 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, sisters: Irene Schofield and Alice Spencer, brothers: Earl (Winnie), Rodney and Warren. Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by wife Freda (Spencer), son Ralph, granddaughter Ashley, Brothers: Gordon, Joe, Paul, Sheldon and George, sisters: Annie, Alma and Ida. Cremation has taken place and no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at 2:00 pm, in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville, Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. A reception will follow the service at the Hantsborder Hall, Hantsborder. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
