BRIGHTMAN, Floyd Earl, 81, Clarksville, formerly of Woodville and Scotch Village, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010, at home. Born in Scotch Village, he was the son of the late Percy and Octavia (Dearman) Brightman. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his loving wife, Marjory (Hirlehey) Brightman, daughters Debra Beatty, Karen (Donald) Patton, Lois (Douglas) Hendry, Diane (Brian) Duff, all of Ontario, sons David, Michael, Glenn, Steve, and Mark, all of Ontario; sisters, Marie Cunningham, Frances (Henry) Janicki, Ontario; Helen Strong, Sackville, NS; Judy (Everett) Miller, Poplar Grove; Velva Gares, Winnipeg; brothers Donald (Pearline), Halifax; Robert (Susan), Ontario; as well as 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Herman, and Pallisier in infancy. A special thank you to Serenity Funeral Home, Rev. Angus MacDonald, and to everyone who helped in any way. Cremation has taken place and no visitation by request. Family flowers only. Donations in Floyd?¢s memory may be made to a charity of one?¢s choice. There will be a Memorial Service at the Christ Disciples Church, West Gore, on Friday, October 22, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Angus MacDonald officiating. The interment will follow at the Centre Rawdon United Church Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will take place at the Rawdon Gold Mines Hall.
