Obituary of Lloyd R Jefferson

Jefferson, Lloyd Reginald - 62, of Waterville, formerly of Digby, passed away at home on November 1, 2010. Born in Digby he was the son of the late Lloyd and Violet (Everett) Jefferson. Lloyd was a fire fighter with the Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years and held the position of captain for some of that time. He enjoyed deer hunting and reading western books. Lloyd had a wonderful sense of humour. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Nina (MacPhee) Jefferson, daughter Carrie (Matthew) Tree of Waterville, son Lloyd (Sherry) of Cambridge. He is survived by his sisters Elizabeth (Carl) Franklin of Digby, Eva (Harold) Franklin of Digby, Shirley (Tom) Foster of Halifax, brothers Frank (Donna) Jefferson of Ontario, and Everett (Patricia) Jefferson of Vancouver. Also he is survived by his three grandchildren Breanna, Grace, and Dommick; along with many nieces and nephews. Lloyd is predeceased by his sister Reta (john) George of Truro. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the Nova Scotia Cancer Society.
