Obituary of Isabelle Wilcox

Wilcox, Isabelle - 1939-2010 - of Bear River East, Nova Scotia; passed away November 28, 2010 in the Valley Regional Hospital after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Isabelle recently returned from Fort Smith, N.W.T. to retire back home. She had a passion for dogs and spent many years breeding and caring for them. As a teacher she traveled the world and taught in Halifax, Kirkland Lake, Yellowknife, The Gambia, United Arab Emirates and Fort Smith. She enjoyed life and the outdoors. She is survived by her soulmate, Dave Nickerson, sons; Kyle (Heather), Terence Bay, Glen, Ottawa, Douglas, Calgary and daughters; Cindy, Toronto, and Monica, Renfrew. She was predeceased by her daughter Joanne. She will be dearly missed by grandchildren, Kyle, Lindsay, Jeremy, Amber, William, Kyla, Jordan and great grandchildren Darsea and Landen. Cremation has taken place. There will be no service but the family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to all of those dear friends who comforted and supported them, and their Mom. As well; the family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Valley Regional Hospital for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers; donations may be made to the Nova Scotia SPCA.
