COLLINS, Russell Lloyd - 91, of Kingston, passed away peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Friday, December 24, 2010. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Leonard and Marie (Fleet) Collins; He served in the RAF and RCAF during World War II, was a prisoner of war in Germany for two years and reenlisted in the air force for the period 1951 to 1970. He was an avid golfer and along with his wife, Shirley they played many years at various courses in Nova Scotia and Florida. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Emily (Stults) Collins, sisters Helen Howell and Marie Bond; daughter Valerie (Wayne) Lincoln; grandchildren Deanna (Steve), David and Andrew; great grandchildren Megan, Caitlin, Laura and Abigail. Predeceased by his daughter Wendy, brothers Leonard, Carl and Robert. Cremation has taken place. Internment at Camp Hill Cemetery, Halifax at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Funeral & Crematorium, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, NS, B4N 2K5.
