McDow, Maurice Elwood - 82, New Ross passed away January 4, 2011 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in New Ross he was a son of the late George and Isabella (Graves) McDow. Maurice loved hunting and fishing with his family. Maurice is survived by his sons Wayne (Cathy), Larry, William, and Robert (Diana) all of New Ross, stepson Robert Rhyndress, Middleton; daughter Margo (Don) McDow, New Ross; step daughters Christine (Rick) Sanchez-Pilot, Calgary, Valerie Rhydress, Middleton; brother Cecil (Ella), Stellarton; sisters Phillis Lowe, Berwick, Rozella Hayes, Coldbrook; 13 grandchildren many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Maurice was predeceased by his wife Carol (Rhyndress); daughter Dorothy; brothers Ira, Clifford and Gerald; sisters Dorothy, Nellie, Mildred, Annie and Audrey. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 7-9 pm today in the new H C Lindsay Funeral Home, 4935 Highway 12, New Ross. A Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday January 7, 2011 in Christ Anglican Church, New Ross with The Reverend Frances Boutlier officiating. Burial will be in the Christ Anglican Cemetery, New Ross. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christ Anglican Church Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home & Crematorium, 4935 Highway 12, New Ross, NS, B0J 2M0.
