BISHOP, E. MARION - 94, Evergreen Home for Especial Care, Kentville, formerly of St. Andrews, N.B. passed away peacefully Sept. 8th, 2003. Born in Kodaikanal, India, Marion was a daughter of the late Dr. Eugene Eaton and Elsie A. (Brady) Eaton.This stunning, honest, caring lady who looked after herself and others, will be greatly missed. An alumnus of Acadia University and a Sports Hall of Fame member, Marion was an avid golfer and curler until she moved back to Wolfville in 1994. This former dietician and teacher was active for over 30 years with the Girl Guides and still had the time and energy to be a life member of the Catholic Women?¢s League, and the hospital auxiliary. This remarkably brave woman, who took 40 Brownies to Camp every summer until she was 79,also had the enthusiasm to be involved in music and arts and crafts. Marion is survived by daughter, Margot Bishop, Wolfville; John (Mary) Bishop, St. John?¢s, NF; sister-in-law Joan Eaton, Wolfville; Marion was predeceased by her husband, Major Alonzo W. Bishop; brothers, Karl, John. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at a later date. Internment in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Donations to Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
