SALSMAN, Roger Lewis - 71 of Lake Paul and recently of Waterville passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. He was the son of Esther (Ernest) and the late Ralph Salsman. His family is deeply saddened by their loss of a dear partner, father, grampy, and respected friend. Roger was a well known painter and worked throughout the Maritime Provinces his entire life. He was well respected in his career and found it difficult to stop working even after retirement. Roger loved to spend time fishing in the summer and hunting in the winter with his buddies. He will be dearly missed. Besides his mother, Roger is survived by his life partner Violet Cleveland, daughters Angela (Dwight), Harbourville; Leisa (Mike), Halifax; son, Darrell, Waterville; Brothers St. Clair (Muriel), Woodville; Glendon, Waterville; Michael (Donna), Waterville, Marty (Velvet), Cambridge; sisters, Elaine (Steve) Connors, Cambridge; Linda (Donnie) Robichaud, Meteghan; grandchildren, Kelsey, Keegan, Hannah, and Hillary. He is predeceased by his father. A Memorial Service will be held at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home and Crematorium, 192 Commercial Street., Berwick on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be to the - Carey Me Fundì³ or the Palliative Care Foundation at Valley Regional Hospital. The family would like to thank Dr. Vats and his wife, VRH Palliative Care, Dr. Burgess, Katrina Patterson, the staff at VON, Marianne and the staff at Wilsons Pharmacy. All the care and comfort that was provided is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten.
