Obituary of Orrin Henry Lenihan

LENIHAN, Orrin Henry - 90, New Ross, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011, in Shoreham Village, Chester. Born in New Ross, he was a son of the late Alvin and Alma (Hennigar) Lenihan. Orrin was an avid hunter and had a passion for fishing. In his younger years he had been a truck driver, a woodsman and had worked in his brothers mill. Orrin later owned and operated his own Christmas Tree lot. He was a member of the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross. Surviving are sons, Gerhart (Diane), Llewelyn and Aldon (Valerie), all of New Ross; grandchildren, Nicole, Kimberly, Stephen, Craig, Lianne, Matthew, Natasha and Evan; sister, Phyllis (Gordon) Young, White Rock; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Doris I. (Broome) Lenihan; brothers, Ray, Clyde, Fred and Ivan; sister, Frances Collicutt. Visitation for Orrin will take place from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 4935 Highway # 12, New Ross. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, in Christ Anglican Church, New Ross. Rev. Robert Brush officiating, with spring burial in the Christ Anglican Cemetery, New Ross. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Christ Anglican Church or to the New Ross Fire Department.
