MERRETT, Anita Arlene (Hayes) - 87, Port Williams, passed away in Evergreen Home For Special Care, Kentville. Born in Sussex, New Brunswick she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Perry) Hayes. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of The Loyal Workers, Port Williams. Anita is survived by her daughter Sheila (Burnie) Bezanson, Kentville; son Ralph, Port Williams; grandchildren Stephen Howard, Krista Morse, Kevin Howard, Tanya Chesnutt, Kimberley Rhynold and Angela Eisnor; ten great grandchildren, niece Rose (Doug) Davis, Riverview, NB. Besides her parents, Anita was predeceased by her husband Frederick and her brother Lloyd. Visitation will be Monday February 14, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville. Funeral service will be Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Port Williams United Baptist Church. Rev. David Ogilvie officiating. Burial will be in Starrs Point Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Anita may be made to the Port Williams United Baptist Church Finances.
