SWEET, Evelyn May (Woodworth) - 93, Kentville passed away February 19, 2011 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Baxters Harbour she was a daughter of the late Avery and Mabel (Brewster) Woodworth. Evelyn worked for several years with Hostess Foods and Acadia University. She was a past member of the Rebecca Lodge, Wolfville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was very proud of her great great grandson Jayden. Evelyn loved baking and everyone looked forward to her homemade donuts that she was so proud of. Evelyn is survived by her son Clifford (Jean), Centreville; daughters Marion (Myles) Shawinigan, QC, Vivian Brown, Centreville; sisters Clara, Celia, Marjorie, Ruth; six grandsons; 1 granddaughter, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Evelyn was predeceased by her first husband Henry Hazel; second husband Allison Sweet; son in law Hugh Brown; brothers Roland, Hugh, Ivan; sisters Esther, Florence, Violet, Mildred and Norma. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday February 22, 2011 in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville where funeral will be Wednesday February 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Cross officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeville Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn?¢s memory may be made to the Diabetic Association of Nova Scotia.
