Aunt Laura, from my earliest of recollection in years, "Aunt Girlie," was the most awesome aunt I had in my extended family; always there to greet me with a hug, a kiss and a big smile, not to mention trying to load on the "goodies." She was a major part of my upbringing, my dad and she being so close, and I remember visiting her so, so many times and how special she made us feel when we visited. I will miss you tremendously, Aunt Girlie. My only regret is that, as we are all aware, growing up and moving away from the extended family, we NEVER spend enough time later in life for those that had such a substantial impact on our lives, and with that, I wish I had taken the time to visit her more often these past few years. However, I know she knows she was loved, will continue to be loved and adored by me, and that her "spirit" will be carried on and cherished by me forevermore.
