WADSWORTH (Wentzell), Doris Ruth - Dot - 84, Richmond, B.C., formerly of Toronto, Ont., and a native of Waterville, Kings Co., N.S., passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, in Rosewood Manor, Richmond, B.C. Born in Waterville, Kings Co., N.S., on June 12, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Henry Freeman and Fanny May (Lightfoot) Wentzell. While living in Nova Scotia, Doris had been a member of the Waterville Baptist Church. She had worked mostly in retail sales, and had often spoke fondly of Ripley?¢s Shoe Store in Kentville, where she got her first break working there for Bam and Pup Ripley. Later Doris moved to Toronto and worked for Morgan?¢s in the handbag department. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Doris was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughter, Donna (Blaine Arnot) Wadsworth; son, Bryan (Susan) Wadsworth; grandchildren, Cameron and Thomas, all of Vancouver, B.C.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Rufus (Adelia), Percy (Mary) and Curtis Wentzell; sisters, Minnie (Ralph) Johnstone and Marie Wentzell. There will be no visitation. Funeral service for Doris will take place at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, in the Waterville Baptist Church, 1243 Mill St., Waterville. Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating,with burial in the Waterville Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Waterville Baptist Church or to the Waterville Cemetery Committee.
